Q. Does Band/ Marching Band "work" with other activities?
A. Yes!! In most cases, school sports and activities can co-exist with band. Fall sports require some advanced planning, but we have had students involved in: cross country, soccer, volleyball, track, along with many other clubs and activities. Please contact Mr. Brunger if you have questions about a specific activity.

Q. Will new 9th graders feel overwhelmed if they are doing marching band and taking Honors Classes?
A. We have found that honors students in band also accel in their regular academic classes. We have students at all levels, including students taking multiple AP and Honors Classes. Students will need to manage their time in the fall, but Mr. Brunger will work closely with students to ensure academic and musical success.

Q. How will I know what is going on?
A. In April or May we will be using the "Band" app. This will be the #1 way Mr. Brunger will communicate with the students. Parents can use the Band app as well to communicate but we will mostly be using email with the parents.
A. Also, always check the calendar for details on our events! (specific details of the events will be in the event's description and attendance is required for every event!)
A. Annually, "Band Notes" will get sent out through the Band app and Social Media. You can expect to see Marching Shoremen information, parent information, and school/band related information. The "Band Notes" will provide important information for the students as well as much needed volunteer opportunities for the parents. Expect "Band Notes" every Wednesday during the marching season and monthly during concert season.

A. This Avon Lake historical event happens during the marching season EVERY Friday morning.
